Model 40HD
The Model 40HD is our everyday workhorse and the same size cone splitter we rely on personally to "split the bigs" all season long. Designed for 6,000-12,000 lb machines, it hits with up to 2,775 ft‑lb of torque through an 8" x 16" cone, turning big, dense rounds into firewood without beating up your crew.
Running on 13-25 GPM at 1,450-2,775 PSI, the 40HD is a sweet fit for many mid-size excavators and skid steers. With a 35-98 RPM range, you get fast cycling in clean wood and the control to ease into nasty, knotty hardwood. If you are upgrading from manual splitting or a light-duty attachment, this is the model that usually changes how your whole operation handles logs.
